Kuala Lumpur Heritage Discovery

Kuala Lumpur is often called a cultural melting pot because of its harmonious blend of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and other indigenous cultures, which create rich historical and cultural values in the city. To experience this diversity, we will explore several landmarks that represent each heritage. One of them is Masjid Jamek, one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur. A short walk leads to Merdeka Square, where Malaysia declared independence in 1957. Sin Sze Si Ya Temple is the oldest Taoist temple in Kuala Lumpur, built in 1864, representing the early Chinese community in the city. The influence of Chinese culture can also be experienced in Chinatown along Petaling Street, a lively area known for its street markets, restaurants, and traditional shops. The Indian community’s heritage can be seen at Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, the oldest Hindu temple in the city. Indian culture is also reflected in Little India Brickfields, an area filled with traditional clothing shops, spice stores, and Indian restaurants. Another famous Hindu site is Batu Caves, where visitors can climb 272 colorful steps to reach the temple inside a limestone cave and see the giant golden statue of Lord Murugan. Together, these landmarks highlight the multicultural identity and rich heritage of Kuala Lumpur. Finally, we will end the tour with lunch at a local restaurant before driving you back to your hotel. Kuala Lumpur – Taman Negara

Depart from your hotel for an approximately three and a half hours journey by land to kuala Tahan Jetty. From here, take a short boat transfer to Mutiara Taman Negara. Upon arrival, proceed with registration and check-in. The rest of the afternoon will be free at your leisure to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. After dinner, join your guide for a night walk along selected forest trails. This is a great opportunity to observe nocturnal wildlife and a variety of fascinating insects that become active after dark. Please remember to bring a headlamp or torchlight, insect repellent, and wear proper trekking attire for your comfort and safety.

Taman Negara

After breakfast, set out on a guided jungle trek to Teresek Hill. This moderate uphill walk through lush rainforest rewards you with sweeping views of the jungle canopy—and on a clear day, a glimpse of Gunung Tahan. Return to the resort for a relaxing lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic wooden boat journey to Lata Berkoh. Glide along the river framed by towering Neram trees and orchids, with stops at the majestic Tualang Tree and the Kelah Fish Sanctuary. End the experience at Lata Berkoh’s natural jacuzzi, where you can soak in the calm, shallow river and the tranquil beauty of the rainforest.

Taman Negara – Cameron Highland

After check-out, take a short boat transfer to Kuala Tahan Jetty. From here, continue with an approximately four-hour overland journey to Cameron Highlands. Along the way, we will make a quick stop at Lata Berkoh Waterfall. Perched at about 1,500 meters above sea level amid a captivating range of serene mountains, Cameron Highlands is known for its cool climate, scenic landscapes, and as the home to some of the largest tea plantations in Malaysia.

Cameron Highland Experience

Travel by Land Rover through the scenic tea estates of the Cameron Highlands as you ascend to Gunung Brinchang, nearly 2,000 meters above sea level. Accompanied by a nature guide, step into the mystical Mossy Forest for a leisurely walk among its fascinating vegetation, including pitcher plants, orchids, ancient ferns, and aromatic herbs. Continue down the mountain to the renowned BOH Tea Factory, the oldest tea factory in Malaysia. Take time to unwind with a cup of tea at BOH Tea Centre 'Ummph' Tea Cafe, overlooking the sweeping tea plantations. Lunch will be at your own expense. In the afternoon, visit the Cameron Highlands Butterfly Farm to observe vibrant butterflies and browse a nearby local market offering fresh fruits and vegetables. Later, stop at O&R Garden House to admire its colourful display of orchids and other flowers. Your day concludes with a visit to Sam Poh Temple, the oldest Buddhist temple in the Cameron Highlands, known for its serene atmosphere and cultural significance.

Cameron Highland – Ipoh

From highland we take trip down to memory lane in Ipoh. Upon arrival, step into the graceful surroundings of Ipoh Town Hall, an elegant Neo-Classical building that has stood proudly since the days of British colonial rule. Just a short walk away, the historic Birch Memorial Clock Tower rises nearby. Next, admire the grandeur of the Ipoh Railway Station, often affectionately called the “Taj Mahal of Ipoh” by locals. With its striking Neo-Moorish design influenced by British-Indian architecture. From here, take a slow stroll through Ipoh Old Town. Wander along the lively Concubine Lane, once a hidden alley, now filled with quaint shops offering souvenirs, handicrafts, and local delights. The journey then leads you to the remarkable Perak Tong Cave Temple. Set within a towering limestone hill, the cave temple reveals a peaceful world of shrines, statues, and quiet reverence inside its cool cavern walls. Your day concludes with a visit to the enigmatic Kellie’s Castle. Explore this unfinished mansion wrapped in mystery and legend. Climb up to the rooftop to enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. Overnight in Ipoh.

Ipoh – Bading Island – Belum Rainforest Resort

Set off on for two and a half hour drive to Belum Rainforest Resort, beautifully situated on Pulau Banding. Surrounded by the pristine wilderness of the Belum-Temengor Rainforest, the resort welcomes you to unwind and immerse yourself in the tranquillity of nature. Check-in and later in the afternoon, take an optional exhilarating bamboo rafting or kayaking.

Start your day early with a guided jungle trek through one of the world’s oldest tropical rainforests, where you may spot unique flora and fauna along the way. Keep your eyes open for the rare Rafflesia buds and signs of wildlife hidden within the dense forest. Continue your trek to Kejar Hill, where you will visit an Orang Asli village, home to the indigenous people of the region. Take this opportunity to interact with the community and learn about their traditional lifestyle, culture, and fascinating stories as shared by your guide. The journey continues deeper into the rainforest to Jenut Papan Salt Lick. This area offers a chance to understand how animals survive in the forest and the importance of these natural salt licks to the ecosystem. Enjoy a delightful packed lunch beside the refreshing Ruok Waterfall. Afterwards, make your way back to the resort.

Leave the rainforest behind and transition into a relaxing beach escape. Embark on three-hour drive to Kuala Besut Jetty, the gateway to the beautiful Perhentian Islands. From the jetty, take 45-minute boat ride across crystal-clear waters to Perhentian Island. Enjoy your beach stay, surrounded by turquoise seas and white sandy beaches—an idyllic setting to simply relax and soak in the beauty of the ocean.
